I was privileged to be a faculty for social media marketing, blogging for doctors at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. There were 25 doctors, who were present there as part of CME (continuing medical education). They earned 4 points out of it. Medical informatics is green-field space in India and a lot of development will take place in near future. I enjoyed talking about blogging, wiki, Facebook marketing, Twitter and Health 2.0 with wonderful participants. Looking forward to interact with all of you at:

The following 3 features, I love are:

1. Availability of menus for all restaurants, I go to – As I mentioned above, other competing sites don’t have menus always available.
2. Ability to share my favorite restaurant lists, e.g. Been There by Prasoon Jha.
3. I as a user of the site should be able to add a restaurant, not just the restaurant owner.

3 features, which I dislike or new enhancements, I’d like to see are:

1.  When I search restaurants in a particular locality, say Malad(W), I’d want to see them on a map.
2. Another feature,I’d want is private lists, which I can share only with my friends.
3. I’d also like an ability to follow food editors or a favorite foodie in my neighborhood.

So, that completes an entry from Prasoon Kumar or Prasoon Jha for the Zomato feedback contest. I think it is a nice usecase for social media participation and crowd-sourcing product ideas!

In a press release, NYSE-listed Macy’s will start shipping its wares to India among others in a new global eCommerce initiative. While the majority of product assortment sold on http://macys.com will be available for international shipping, some product categories and lines are exempt. They include cosmetics, fragrances, furniture, mattresses, appliances and select accessories and apparel. With varying laws, global vendor partnerships and even electricity standards across the spectrum of 91 different nations, Macy’s is unable to sell some products internationally. Among Indian retail chains, Shopper Stop is already online, although their customer care email id is from Google, shoppersstop1991@gmail.com, as per this tweet. So, is Future Bazaar’s Pantaloon and Westside More and more retail chains will go online in near future.

Now it has more partners, ICICI Bank and Bhart AXA Life. They have 900 centers currently and plan on increasing it to 20,000 more points by end of 2011. Their funding history:
